2008 Academy Awards. A new record.

Sunday night’s presentation of the 80th Annual Academy Awards was watched by an average of 32 million total viewers — a 20 percent plunge from a year ago and, in fact, the Oscars’ lowest ratings on record since Nielsen started tracking the event in 1974. Worst ever. Of all time.

Why watch for 3 hours when if something interesting actually does happen, you can watch it 10 minutes later on the Internet?

Maybe Gary Busey had the best moment. He’s just a big character.
