Is this the same custom clothing store that is owned by the same guy that started Sweet Scentz?) I think I worked with you on a project for a marketing class a few years ago. Hit me up sometime, I can bust out an awesome WordPress Site for you.

Hi Brad,

It was from Noble House, seen at NobleHouse.us on the Internet.

I ordered some shirts and a few suits from them in August of 2007. It is now April 2008 and I'm still waiting on three suits to be delivered.

I'll try to post photos of it all when the last of the order arrives. The shirts did improve in quality, but wouldn't want anyone to go through what I've gone through.

For now, your best bet for good shirts at a low price is probably http://www.jantzentailor.com/ Also from HK but everybody orders online from them. Unless you happen to be in the neighborhood.

Good to hear from you Seph.

A survey of about 50 men’s specialty stores found that sales of men’s custom and made-to-measure suits jumped by 17% in 2007 over the previous year, according to MR Magazine, a trade publication for the men’s fashion industry.

This is in stark contrast to struggling off-the-rack suit sales, which saw a 5% decline in 2007, according to the NPD group.

Luxury apparel sales slid even further in February [2008], dropping 2.2% to $3.5 billion, according to MasterCard. Source: Blacks Retail Analysis

You mention that sales of custom apparel products are up. What are you basing this on? Do you have any hard market revenue numbers, or are you looking more anecdotally at the recent emergence of more custom clothing websites? I'd be very interested to better understand the size of the online - custom apparel market.

Thanks for the plug!

That shirt example was called "Jack's Dragon". Great stuff.

With enough time and money, Mad Gringo can do just about anything. . .just about.

Go slow.

There is no doubt that the ever growing cult of celebrity in both the UK and here in the US has led to more people wanting to own designer shoes.
Hardly a week goes by without some women's magazine calling for its readers to get shoes like Kylie or like Kate Moss.

Jantzen review:

I went to Jantzen based on a few friends' recommendations. I just got a few shirts done (about 300 HKD each), but my friends had some suits done.

The turnaround time was erratic, and we ended up at the Central location at 11PM one night to get a suit after it was altered 3X's (the first time, my friend's pants were about 5 inches too long). Besides the disorganization, the main reason for not returning there is due to the openly "male-friendliness" of the boss there (David). Ricky verified this fact, and when David began copping feels on my friend during a pants inline measurement, he was like, well, if you want a good price, you have to give something in return! I never felt so disgusted in my life.

My shirts were decent, but sleeves too long the first time - sleeves too short the 2nd time, but I just accepted due to laziness.

Good luck.
