In a small shop on South Cameron Street, not far from the [Las Vegas] Strip, a local businessman works to keep a dying art alive.
Gary Franzen Custom Clothing is one of the few places one can still go to get a handmade, custom-tailored suit.

From selecting the fabric to measuring to fittings (yes, there is often more than one) to the actual sewing of the garments, the suits at Gary Franzen are made almost completely by hand, on-site.
On the outside, the shop looks like a lot of other strip mall stores. The front door, however, seems almost to serve as a portal through time.
The walls of the shop are adorned with photos of sharply dressed Hollywood icons, such as Clark Gable and Cary Grant, from an era when dressing well meant more than just wearing a shirt that matched the jeans.
