If yesterday was fake shoe day, today is fake watch day. Here are the fake watch sites I received via spam today:
http://copsealapublic.com/
http://nevesbudprivate.com/
As yesterday, these different addresses link to the same site. Interestingly, Nevesbudprivate.com was sent by two different email addresses. One address ended in sportsnetwork.com and the second email ended in tehrantimes.com.
I sort of doubt Rolex is a big brand in Tehran. Judging by their near total lack of an economy, I can’t imagine why anyone would need to keep track of time.
If, however, you’d like to send me a fake watch – this is my favorite:

It’s rather funny they put “Diamond Replicas” across the photo so nobody would steal their photos of their fake watches – maybe to list on eBay or ________ . Maybe it’s just me, but if my company was selling fake items that violated who knows how many laws, the last thing I would want is my company name plastered across the items.
So please, buy their fake watches but don’t steal their photos that they took so much time to take and make beautiful. After all, those photos took time and money to make and they don’t want people copying them.

http://www.exquisitestreetsshoes.com/
http://www.fashionstreetshoelive.com/
http://wonderfulonlineshoesale.com/
Interestingly, all three sites point to the same site. All three sites were sent to me via spam under different user names.
The reason I think these and practically any other items promoted via spam are fakes is the willingness of companies in China to sell knock-offs at as few as one pair of shoes at a time. I’ve personally been contacted by companies in China offering every designer you can imagine at prices that normally equal sales tax here in the states.
It can be rather tempting. Armani suits, Rolex watches, all for under $300 USD.
There are three things that should keep you from doing business with such dealers:
1. It is illegal.
2. Once they have your credit card, anything can happen.
3. If you see this as a quick way to start a business as many have on eBay, keep in mind if something goes wrong it is virtually impossible to sue a Chinese company from the U.S.
Pick your favorite saying and stick with it: “There’s no such thing as a free lunch,” and “If it seems to good to be true, it probably is.”

The celebration for this year’s Chinese New Year runs from February 7th until today, February 15th. However, most Chinese companies won’t begin work again until February 18th. Something to keep in mind if you are waiting for orders from Hong Kong merchants.
